Payment, delivery and GST
We take all forms of payment at the MacOrphanage. We prefer, (and you will) Direct Deposit, simply because it's fast, and there are no fees. But, we do take all other Credit Cards, EFTPOS and Cheques. Simply find the Mac you want, ask any questions you need and Make a Secure Payment On-Line.
Once you've done that and you've submitted your Secure Payment Formalong with your delivery and invoice address, we'll then send your Tax invoice right away. In the case of a 'Private Sale', we'll speak to the seller immediately and have your Mac sent to you. If you'd like to see what our customers say, click here to see our customer testimonials. For all other Macs, we will send your Mac directly to you immediately.
Note on listed Macs that come from Apple : They are always subject to availability. These Macs move very quickly, so occasionally, a Mac may be listed that we no longer have, and for that we apologise in advance. Often, the Macs in the Orphanage come directly from Apple, and all with full Apple warranties. They are clearly advertised here as either 'New' - which does mean just that. They are superseded models with full warranty, or in other cases, ex-demo models. Usually, the reason why they are so cheap is because the box may have cosmetic damage - occasionally the Mac may have slight cosmetic damage also - this will be indicated in the advertisement. (This only applies to Macs that are NOT listed as NEW. All new Macs in this section are simply superseded Macs at huge savings and are sealed, brand new with full warranty).
MacOrphanage make no assurances about the condition refurbished or discounted Macs that come from Apple as we do not see them at all. If the Mac itself does have any cosmetic damage, and we're informed, we will indicate, but cannot be specific as we can only go on the description from the Apple. Also, some of these Macs may not come with everything they originally would have - i.e. they may occasionally be missing a CD or a manual or the little Apple Remote. Again, we are generally notified if this is the case and will indicate, but are not responsible for these items.
All the Macs listed here from Apple are classed as 'perfect', or 'excellent' models that are essentially like new, so you get the best Macs available.
